In this contextual research project, we were interested in exploring and understanding the culture of pet rescue in Savannah, GA. We researched the different organizations and shelters in this area, as well as speaking with individuals who own pets and volunteers who work with animals; in order to understand the motivations behind their actions.
The scope of project is understand and define the culture of pet rescue in Savannah, the relationship between animals, humans, and organizations, and the motivations of abandonment. There are many activities that are involved in these three parties such as purchasing, adopting and caring.
